The company will invest 20 million US dollars (about 140 million yuan) to increase the cord production capacity of its US factory.The factory plans to add a rubber dipping production line, which can produce 19000 tons of tire cords every year.
Kesai company said that the demand for tire cords in North America is growing continuously.It is expected that the new production line will be put into operation in 2024 to meet the local sales demand.
In 2017, the company acquired the factory from a Luxembourg enterprise. Tennessee, where the factory is located, is the tire production base of the United States.Bridgestone, Hantai tire and Nuoji tire all have large-scale tire factories in the local area.In the first half of this year, Hantai announced that it would invest $1.6 billion to expand its Tennessee plant.Subsequently, Bridgestone also announced an investment of 550 million US dollars to expand the production of local factories.
