Recently, the Association of Natural Rubber Producers (ANRPC) reported that in November 2022, the global production of natural rubber increased by 2.7% year on year to 1.426 million tons.
At the same time, the monthly statistical report of ANRPC in November also showed that the global demand for this commodity increased by 0.6%, reaching about 1.301 million tons.
In the physical rubber market, except for bulk latex in Kuala Lumpur, the price of most types of rubber fell "slightly" in November, which ANRPC pointed out in the review released on December 20.
According to ANRPC data, the daily price of bulk latex in November averaged about US $1.04 per kg, up 3% from last month.
The industry organization continued to point out that as China relaxed the epidemic prevention and control measures in late November 2022, the price of Shanghai futures market recovered.
"With the cyclical year-end demand before the Chinese Lunar New Year holiday, natural rubber trading activity is also increasing," ANRPC said.
According to ANRPC's previous forecast, the growth of global natural rubber demand slowed down this year, but it is expected that the demand will increase by 2.1% to 14.805 million tons, compared with 14.495 million tons in 2021.
