Winter Car Tire Maintenance Skills
1. Ensure inflatable pressure
In winter, the temperature is low. According to the principle of thermal expansion and contraction, the owner of the winter should appropriately increase the tire inflation pressure to reduce the tire wear consumption. But at the same time, if the road surface is frozen and slippery, the high inflation pressure of the tire will affect the grip of the tire. In general, in the cold winter, we recommend using an inflatable pressure of 10-15%higher than the standard, but it cannot exceed the maximum inflatable pressure specified by the product manual. In addition, in the cold winter, the car owner should often check the inflatable pressure of the tire. When the tire's inflation pressure is insufficient, it should be supplemented in time.
2. Control driving speed
In the cold winter, if it is restarted after parking, because the tire is relatively stiff, it must be driven for a while after starting at a lower speed to drive at a normal speed. Of course, the most important control of driving in winter should be driving safely. Especially when driving in highways, pay attention to controlling the speed. Do not speed up and profit, so as to ensure safety, in the cold season, effectively protect car and tires, and avoid traffic accidents.
3. Strengthen protection cleaning
Pay special attention to the cleaning of the tire before driving in the cold winter. Before driving, check whether the tire patterns are covered by ice and snow. If so, clean up. If the ice clipped to the groove is hard, it cannot be forcibly dug out, nor can it be steamed on the tire surface.
Pour the surface of the tire pattern with warm water, then start the car, and drive at a normal speed after a period of time. After driving, check whether there are stones, iron blocks or nails such as stones, iron blocks or nails. If so, clean up immediately.
4. Safety wear label
The traction and grip of the new tires and the old tires are very different. Those tires that have worn hard, even tires in winter, cannot play a role on the snowy road. Therefore, tires should be replaced in time according to the wear situation. All tires have grinding marks at 1.6 mm depth of the pattern. There is a small convex device with a place where there is a wear mark. Abbreviation "TW". Under the premise of normal use, the tire wear reaches this raised place indicates that the tire needs to be replaced.
