How to repair tires and wheels

Industrial solid rubber tires are a kind of tires corresponding to pneumatic tires (hollow tires). The carcass is solid, no cords are used as a skeleton, no need to inflate, so no inner tube or inner liner is needed. A tire is a solid rubber tire. Solid rubber tires are currently only used for high-load vehicles or machinery running at low speeds, as well as for fixed-position machinery. Now let's introduce the repair of solid rubber tire wheels and hubs:

1. Repair of wheel discs

1) If the bearing hole of the bolt is worn, the roundness error is greater than 1.5mm or the bearing surface of the tire bolt is not balanced, it can be repaired by surfacing.

2) Cracks between bolt bearing holes or large holes can be repaired by welding.

3) If there is de-welding or loose rivets at the connection between the spokes and the rim, they should be re-welded or re-rivetted.

4) If there is a crack on the rim, it can be repaired by welding.


2. Repair of the wheel hub

1) When the wear of the inner and outer bearing seat holes of the hub is greater than 0.05mm, it should be repaired by chrome plating.

2) The oil seal seat hole is unevenly worn or has a dent of more than 0.15mm, which can be repaired by welding.

3) The circumferential surface in contact with the brake hub should be flat, and when the circle runout of the center line of the hub is greater than 0.1mm, it should be turned and repaired.

4) When the brake hub of the wheel hub has cracks, it can be grooved and welded and flattened.

5) When the internal thread of the fixed axle bolt hole is damaged, it can be drilled and tapped again after surfacing.

6) When the round run-out of the end face in contact with the semi-axle protruding edge is not more than 0.1mm, it should be corrected.
